Chinji National Park


Chinje is National Park (abbreviated Chinje),established in 1987, a protected area of IUCNcategory II (National Park) is located in TehsilTalagang, District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It coversa total area of 6095 hectares (15,061 acres). Chinje National Park is located near the Salt Range, about 130 km from Islamabad in the south.

Landscape


The area has a height of 2231 feet rolls (680 m). Theterrain consists of deep exhaustion of sandstone rocksbruthcharraigeacha the Chinje, with a little rock saltdeposits of Salt Range. Deep torrential streams andravines slope in the Soan River, which flows throughthe region.


Climate


Average annual rainfall is 537 mm in area, including 308 mm during the monsoon from July to September.Maximum temperature 27 ° C in June and a minimum of 2.2 ° C in January. Frost is quite common in the winter season. The relative humidity can reach up to 80% of the monsoon.


Wild Life


National Park Chinje parts biome deserts and xericshrublands ecoregion and fall of "dry forests of Balochistan (PA1307). The area comprising asub-tropical vegetation with many important plant species. The region is also a habitat for endangered species of urial.
